What are environmental strategies?

These are ideas and actions that address the ‘local reasons behind youth problems.  They change the fabric of our community – the environment where we make our choices.  Here are the types of strategies the CTC Coalition is looking at:

Enhancing Access & Reducing Barriers

This involves making it easier to use or access a service that will keep families strong and healthy.

Changing Consequences

CTC will support community wide recognition for youth, adults, and businesses that are working towards a safer community.

Physical Design

The way our public spaces - like parks - are designed is important.  Use of lighting & signage can help prevent illegal activity.

Modifying & Changing Policy

Any policy or procedure designed to prevent drug-use should be clear, well-known, and enforced.
